Sumy State University
The Sumy State University is one of the leading universities in Eastern Ukraine. About 22 thousand students are getting their education on different studying forms, educational and qualified levels.
According to the Webometrics Rating, SSU takes the 7th place in worldwide Internet rating among Ukrainian institutes of higher education (in Junuary, 2011).
The university takes high positions among Ukrainian institutes of higher education for its number of prize places , that were won by SSU students in All-Ukrainian Olympiads on educational disciplines, training areas, specialties (from 2004- prize places; 2008-09 year (a. y.), 2009-10 year – the 4th place).
For its number of prize places in All- Ukrainian Competitions of students’ research works SSU takes the leading places among Ukrainian institutes of higher education (2005-06 a. y., 2007-08 a.y., 2008-09 a.y., 2009-10 a.y.- the first place, 2006-07 a.y.- the third place).
International activities
SSU is a member of International Association of Universities, European Association of Universities, Eurasian Association of Universities, World Health Organization and other international organizations.
About 900 foreign students of almost 60 countries, including the USA, Western Europe, Australia, all regions of Africa and Asia, are studying in SSU.
